Privacy policy & POPIA notice
Last updated: 2026. This policy explains how Aether Blinds handles personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
1. Information we collect
Name and surname, phone number, email address (if provided), physical address, window and door measurements, photographs of the installation area, and any message content you send us via the website or WhatsApp.
2. Why we collect it
Solely to provide quotes, schedule on-site measurements, manufacture and install your blinds, provide after-sales service and warranty support, and to contact you about your enquiry. We do not sell your information or share it with third parties for marketing.
3. Consent
By submitting a form on this site, booking a measurement or messaging us on WhatsApp, you consent to us processing your personal information for the purposes above.
4. Storage and security
Enquiries and bookings are stored in a secured, access-controlled database. Only authorised members of our team can view them. Reviews you submit are published only after approval, and we display your first name and suburb only.
5. Retention
We keep your information only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, for warranty and after-sales support, or as required by South African law.
6. Third parties
We use WhatsApp (Meta) for messaging, Google Calendar to schedule measurement appointments, and a secure cloud database provider to store enquiries. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy terms.
7. Cookies
This website uses only essential storage required for the site to function. We do not run advertising trackers.
8. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent at any time. Contact us on 061 493 4130 or via WhatsApp. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
